Lawyer in international trade & customs.

Legal experience in the customs and international trade field of more than 20 years, coupled with practical knowledge that also qualifies her as a customs broker.

In support of companies of all sectors involved in foreign markets, Elena Bozza offers advisory services and assistance in the field of EU and national customs law for a business compliance and to allow to legally benefit from the opportunities that customs regulations offer to companies in terms of economic, bureaucratic and time savings.

Having obtained a Ph.D. in private EU law, she has carried out her academic work at the University of Macerata and at the University of Roma Tre in the area of EU law.

She mainly deals with topics of preferential and non-preferential origin, thus "Made in", customs classification of goods and customs value, the acquisition of authorizations, such as A.E.O, authorized exporter, BTI (binding tariff information), BOI (binding origin information), among others. This in the context of customs compliance or targeted interventions, with pro-active and preventive collaboration with the Customs Authorities, but also customs planning & engineering, aimed at optimizing customs burdens as well as achieving the competitive advantages that a proper customs strategy in compliance with the regulations allows.

She also carries out the administrative and judicial defense of the company in customs litigation in the Tax Commissions and ordinary courts.

She holds the position of “expert in customs matters” for Unioncamere Lombardia.


Academic activities

She conducts lectures on customs matters through face-to-face seminars and webinars aimed at companies. She also teaches in the courses of “Head of Customs Matters” for the purpose of professional qualification for the acquisition of AEO authorization approved by the Customs Agency.

Adjunct professor for the teaching of European Union Law at the University of Camerino and La Sapienza Roma.
